Health technology assessment (HTA) is a broad term that covers key elements of evidence-based medicine, health economics, ethics, and health policy. HTA produces evidence not only for clinical decision making but also for policy making. HTA researchers should be trained to have sufficient knowledge and experience in each of these key elements in order to carrying out HTA independently in future. HTA Journal Club is aimed at facilitate critical appraisal of literature broadly related to HTA and to promote effective learning of the cutting-edge methodology among trainees in HTA field. The journal club has regular meetings once every month.
There is a presenter at each meeting who selects and presents an article on the topic from one of the pre-specified journals at least one week before the meeting. All club members are expected to read the article before the meeting and actively participated in the discussion.
